We left Salt Lake International Airport on Friday morning and flew to Kennedy International in New York where we had a seven hour layover. We walked around the airport to stretch our legs prior to the long over night flight to Accra. As we walked down the first corridor, we heard a lady call out, "Look missionaries!" A little family with three children were flying back to their home after a few day in NYC. She said they had been looking for missionaires their whole visit and we were the first and only they'd seen. Not too much further away a lady stopped us. Turned out she had lived in CT, in the same ward where Liz now lives.

The most interesting event of the lay over was a very friendly man sat down next to us. When I asked him why he was traveling to Ghana he said it is his business to take jobs to West Africa to build the middle class. Whoa! Another Mission Miracle! He was extremely friendly and told us all about his business, his life, and his love of Africa. He gave us his card and is willing to talk more about jobs.
