We took a quick and enjoyable weekend to San Francisco to visit with Alex and family. They were the one family we hadn't had any alone time with. We arrived about 2 pm, had lunch at In-N-Out Burger, then picked up Zoie from violin. Alex drove us to some of the houses and areas where they’ve hoped to move. The real estate market there is nuts!! We would love to see them find a new home. A home where they can spread out as a family and give private time to everyone, including the chickens! We gave the kids their Christmas present of swords. They loved them!
The next day we loaded in the cars and drove to Mt Diablo, the highest mountain peak in the Bay Area. On clear days it is said a person can see for miles and miles. The road was steep and curvy and the views stunning. The kids had fun climbing the large rocks. That night the adults had a yummy dinner out where a robot, looking like Wally, carried food for the waiter. Unreal!
Sunday was breakfast on the patio of cheese blitzes, then stake conference via zoom. Molly fix a lovely lunch which was also served on the patio. The weather was CA at its best. We took several walks around the hill on path by the Bay talking and learning more about this sweet family. Home too soon.
